Is the resort commercial and busy?
Far from it! Our tours operate in small villages in the north of Finnish Lapland. These are typically areas of outstanding natural beauty with spectacular scenery which is known as 'True Lapland' – unspoiled by the ways of mass-market tourism found in Rovaniemi and Saariselka.
Will we be able to give Santa a personal message?
This is possible on all of our short breaks. You must visit the ‘My Booking’ section of the website after booking and complete ‘Santa’s Wishlist’ prior to your arrival in resort, no later than five days before your departure day.
Are the tours suitable for infants?
Due to the extreme weather conditions in Lapland, we generally don’t recommend our tours for infants under the age of two since a great deal of time will be spent outdoors in Arctic conditions. If you choose to travel with an infant you may have to miss out on some activities if advised by the staff in resort. Infants are charged at £80 on short breaks and £40 on daybreaks. In addition, we are unable to guarantee provision of thermal suits and boots for infants so these will need to be provided by you. Please also note that there are no baby changing facilities at any of our locations.
Are the excursions and safaris a specified duration?
Lengths given are approximate and can sometime vary dependent on weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. For instance, it may be necessary to curtail husky sledding if temperatures drop to -30 degrees C since the activity may pose a safety risk for the guests and a health risk for the dogs.
How long is the transfer?
Transfers can be up to 2 hours depending on the trip you choose. The shorter transfer options always sell out first.
