Virgin Voyages
Scarlet Lady
Let us share with you what we got up to onboard Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady with the UK Sales Team.
We sailed the Irresistible Med from Barcelona.
Take a look as we set sail the virgin way.
Barcelona
Day 1: Leaving Barcelona
The day: Our adventures began in Barcelona for a few hours before boarding the ship. When we boarded the whole experience was fun and lively from the get so. We had time to chill in The Dockhouse sipping cocktails and ordering mezze platters (my favourite part of the ship).
Then it was time for “sail away” bubbly, good music, dancers and lots of excited guests. We were then treated to a private event with LOTS of drinks flowing before our meal at Pink Agave the Mexican restaurant. As always the food was amazing.
This old gal who had only had 3 hours sleep opted out of the PJ party and went to bed ready to do it all again today.
Restaurant: Pink Agave
Resturant Dish: We had it all. Favourites were the corn, chicken enchiladas and the duck.
Toulon
Day 2: Toulon France
The first day in port was spent in Toulon, I started the day at the gym and a few laps of the running track then sat having breakfast and watched us coming into port which was beautiful. Then we had to do some work and had a ship visit to see and find out more about that the ship offers and what we can offer our customers.
We headed into Toulon and after a short walk around we went back to the ship giving us ample time to familiarise ourselves with the ship. We started our afternoon with a tasty lunch at The Social Club, offering poke bowls, bao buns and lots more. The afternoon was perfect for lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and taking in the ocean views.
Before heading to get ready we had a quick stop in The Galley this is virgins dining area (not buffet there is no buffet on board) it is different show cooking food stations. They have introduced a new Asia night theme and this is right up my street the food was delicious.
We met for pre dinner drinks in Sip the champagne bar of the ship and had some beautiful honey bubbles a very sweet treat to start the night.
That evening we headed to The Test Kitchen for a 5 course menu and drinks pairing, I opted for the cocktails and some were . The Test Kitchen is Virgin’s take on a fancy Michelin-starred modern cuisine concept. It’s a set menu but they do consider allergies and have vegetarian options.
Then it was and early night ready for a fun day in Tuscany. I can’t wait to show you what I get up to there.
Au revoir Toulon

Marina De Carrara Tuscany
Day 3: Marina De Carrara Tuscany
After a quick breakfast at The Galley, we embarked on our private trip to Tuscany. The bus was brand new, clean, and equipped with charging facilities, making the journey very comfortable. After about 80 minutes, we arrived at Vialto, a family-run business named after the owners’ three children—a detail I love. There, we prepared our own pasta and enjoyed a three-course meal. We started by chopping vegetables for the pasta sauces and then moved on to making the pasta, which was an exciting new experience for me.
Around 1 pm, we headed back to our beautiful Scarlet Lady and spent the afternoon basking in the sun. A pre-dinner snack was essential to sample all the amazing food, with dinner scheduled around 8:30 pm. I opted for a healthier choice today, enjoying a delicious chicken salad with peanut and sriracha dressing.
Later, I spent some time booking a Virgin Cruise for a friend, who will receive an additional $300 off and $600 onboard credit for booking while I’m onboard.
Before dinner, we attended a show called Dual Reality, my favorite from a previous cruise. It’s a fast-paced, circus-style retelling of Romeo and Juliet, filled with graceful and death-defying acts performed by two warring groups.
Dinner was at Razzle Dazzle, a lively spot offering creative twists on classic American comfort foods. The menu balances healthy, veggie-conscious dishes with indulgent meat and sweet options. Think 80% veggie options and 20% meat, with the meat dishes being particularly impressive.
Then it was bedtime ready for a fun day in Corsica.

Favorite Dish: Pork Belly and Lamb Shank
Ajaccio, Corsica, France
Day 4: Ajaccio, Corsica, France
We arrived in Ajaccio with our plans already altered from the night before. Originally scheduled for a private boat tour, we had to switch to a private day tour due to high waves making the waters unsafe. I kicked off the morning with a quick gym session, followed by a few laps on the running track, and then stopped by The Galley for breakfast.
Our early pick-up at 9 AM took us into Ajaccio, starting with a visit to the Napoleon monument. We then ventured up the mountains to a bee farm. It was fascinating to learn how honey varies with the seasons; we tasted five different types, each unique in flavor and consistency. As it was a family-run business, I bought a few items from their shop to take home. Next, we crossed the road to visit an essential oil farm, which supplies high-end brands. It was incredible to see how much plant material is required to produce a small amount of oil. We even saw some Everlast flowers being processed.
Our next stop was a charming beach club, Alta Rocco, for lunch. I had the chicken green Thai noodles, and they were the best I’ve ever had.
The highlight of the trip was the beach. Our tour guide took us to a stunning little bay where we enjoyed an hour relaxing on the sand and dipping in the water.
I then sat and chilled at The Dock catching up on some work and eating mezze platters as we sailed away it’s my favourite place and time of day on the ship. Before dinner, I joined a meditation class. The setting was perfect, on the ship overlooking the sea as the sun set.
Dinner was at Extra Virgin, the ship’s Italian restaurant. I love that they offer pasta as a side dish. After dinner, I headed to The Manor nightclub for some dancing. The club opens at 11:30 PM, though I wish it opened around 10 PM!
Restaurant :
Breakfast - The Galley
Dinner - Extra Virgin
Favorite Dishes: The charcuterie board and pastas.
At Sea
Day 5: at Sea
Spent an incredible day at sea on our cruise! Woke up to the gentle rocking of the ship and a stunning sunrise over the horizon. Started the day with a HIIT class, convincing myself it would balance out all the delicious food. Afterward, enjoyed a hearty breakfast and spent the morning lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun.
In the afternoon, I grabbed a tasty ramen lunch at The Galley and joined a lively game of bingo. It’s not your typical bingo—the Virgin twist makes it exciting with prizes up to $1600 depending on the number of players.
The evening kicked off with dinner at Gunbae, where the show-style Korean cooking and drinking games had everyone laughing and engaged. The highlight of the week was SCARLET NIGHT, featuring events all over the ship, a spectacular poolside show, and a lively pool party that transitioned into a nightclub vibe.
Ended the night perfectly with a delicious pizza from The Pizza Place. What a day!
Restaurant:
Breakfast & Lunch - the Galley
Dinner - Gunbae
Favourite Dish: The chicken starter
Day 6: Another Day at Sea
We were now en route to Ibiza, scheduled to dock around 7 pm, so we had a full day to relax at sea. I started my day with breakfast in The Galley, but this time, our group sat outside, enjoying the beautiful setting.
We spent most of the day by the pool. Later, a friend and I decided to attend a posture workshop. They took prints of our feet to analyze our walking patterns and discussed how improving posture can alleviate various types of pain. We were also shown insoles that can be used in any shoe to help with this.
After the workshop, we returned to lounging in the sun. I grabbed a snack to take back to the cabin and relaxed in my hammock, watching as we docked in Ibiza before dinner.
In the evening, we had a reservation at The Wake, the most popular restaurant on the ship. This steak and seafood restaurant also offers a lovely morning brunch. I chose the wedge salad and filet mignon, with sides served family style. For dessert, I had the baked Alaska.
I opted for an early night after dinner to be ready to enjoy the next day in Ibiza.
Restaurant: The Wake
Favourite Dish: All the sides
Ibiza
Day 7: Ibiza
As we docked in Ibiza last night, I couldn't wait to disembark and explore one of my favourite destinations. The cruise had been a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. All that remained was a stroll around Ibiza town and a quick hotel site visit to make the most of the trip.
I returned onboard around 3 p.m., grabbed one of my favourite freshly made salads, and relaxed at The Dock. Naturally, I had to order one last mezze plate.
That evening, we gathered for farewell drinks at On The Rocks and expressed our gratitude for an amazing trip. Layla, Jack, and SJ from Virgin Voyages joined us.
Later, we headed to The Athletics Club to relax with drinks as my new English friends watched a big game. We dined leisurely that night in The Galley, enjoying the Asian market menu again.
Before bed, I bought some placeholder vouchers for enthusiastic sailors back home, taking advantage of an exclusive onboard offer that provided extra savings and significant onboard credit. Then, it was up to the room to pack and unwind.

Our Hosts
Special thanks to those below for giving us an incredible week; the fact that we get to call this work is unbelievable. Layla and Jack have extensive knowledge of the brand, and they answered all our questions. This trip was educational, allowing us to see and experience the ship, the itineraries, and the amazing shore excursions, all while enjoying it just like our customers would.

The Character
Jack
Jack brought plenty of fun to the week, especially since Scotland was out of the football tournament and England won twice while we were onboard, leading to a lot of friendly banter. However, Jack only joined us for a few dinners, as he was hosting another group of agents. It was great that he split his time, and we appreciated the additional information we gained about Virgin.
The One Behind It All
Virgin Voyages
Being invited to experience everything we did was an incredible opportunity, so a big thank you to Virgin Voyages and the amazing First Mates training academy for making selling Virgin so much easier and fun.
The way the team works together shows it's a fun place to work. We also had Luke join us at the start of the trip and SJ at the end, and it was clear that there's a lot of fun at Virgin.
